1. Julian Treasure

Julian’s five TED talks have been watched more than 100 million times. ‘How to speak so that people want to listen’ is in the top 10 TED talks of all time. Julian is regularly featured in the world’s media, and has guested on dozens of leading global podcasts.

In 2003 Julian founded The Sound Agency – an audio branding company that asks and answers the question “how does your brand sound?”and has recently launched Moodsonic®, a range of biophilic soundscapes to enhance wellbeing and productivity in workspaces. TSA’s award-winning work has made headlines internationally.

Julian’s love of sound stems from his early experience as a musician. He was a drummer for indie bands The Transmitters, Fish Turned Human and Missing Presumed Dead and recorded vinyl and two 1981 John Peel Sessions.

Before The Sound Agency, Julian spent 20 years working in advertising and magazine publishing. He founded, grew and sold contract (custom) publishing agency TPD.

Ian is an avid reader and writer, and he calls himself ”the observer of people and reality”. He had always been interested in studying the human mind and society. Ian holds a BA degree in Sociology, and apart from writing and investigation, he works as an HR consultant for many European companies from various sectors.

In his free time, he enjoys travelling and getting to know different cultures. Hitchhiking and using services like ”couch surfing” is his preferred mode of immersing himself in new cultures and staying out of his comfort zone. He loves the thrill of unpredictable travelling!

Another passion of Ian’s is music. He plays the guitar and composes music. He is also an electronic music producer- something he does as a hobby.
